About grief
Grief isn’t only for deaths. A breakup, an estrangement, a version of your life that didn’t happen: these are real losses, even when no one brings a casserole.
Grief tends to come in waves rather than stages, and the unsaid things are often what keep circling. Writing them down won’t end the grief, but it can give them somewhere to go.
If grief has you stuck, or it’s getting harder instead of slowly easier, that’s worth bringing to session.
Unsent letters are a common practice in grief therapy. The prompts here are original.
Let go.
Not of them. Of carrying the words alone.
