The Hero’s Journey
Healing is a hero’s journey, and it loops. You leave the familiar, meet what scares you, find help, and come home changed. Then, one day, a new call comes. This circle can be walked many times.

Why a circle?
Joseph Campbell called it the monomyth: one story told in a thousand faces. Christopher Vogler shaped it into these twelve steps for storytellers. It is drawn as a circle on purpose. You come home with something, live with it a while, and later a new call arrives. Each time around, you carry more.
In therapy and recovery it often goes the same way. Nobody walks it perfectly, and you don’t walk it alone. Going back to an earlier stage isn’t failing. It’s part of the shape.
