Acupuncture
Acupuncture comes from Chinese medicine, where life energy, called qi, flows through the body along channels called meridians. When that flow is blocked or out of balance, practitioners say you can feel tense, tired or low.
Fine needles at chosen points help qi move freely again. Many people describe a deep, quiet calm on the table and a lighter feeling afterward.

Be careful if…
- Blood thinners or bleeding problems: bruising and bleeding are more likely.
- Pacemaker or needle fear: tell the practitioner first. You can stop any time.
- Choose a licensed practitioner. In North Carolina, look for an L.Ac. through the NC Acupuncture Licensing Board.
